Safety should be one of your top consideration when choosing a new vehicle, and the Lincoln lineup is a great place to start your search. Recently, the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded both the Lincoln Corsair and Aviator as TOP SAFETY PICK honorees.

For the Corsair, this is its third TOP SAFETY PICK award in a row. It is the second consecutive award for the Aviator.

To qualify for a TOP SAFETY PICK award, a vehicle must earn the top “Good” rating in all six crash tests. It also needs to offer a crash avoidance system with either an “advanced” or “superior” rating. Finally, a vehicle must offer at least “acceptable” headlights. If all its standard and available headlights achieve an “acceptable” or “good” rating, a vehicle qualifies for the TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating.

Another factor that IIHS tests for that is not considered part of the TOP SAFETY PICK ratings is how easy it is to access and use the child seat anchors. The Corsair earned a “good+” rating, while the Aviator got an “acceptable” rating.

Further enhancing peace of mind behind the wheel, both the Corsair and Aviator come standard with advanced driver safety aids as part of the Lincoln Co-Pilot360™ suite.

You can learn more about the award-winning safety features in the Corsair and Nautilus by scheduling a test drive at Ray Pearman Lincoln in Huntsville, Alabama.
